The path to enlightenment

The path to attain the enlightenment travels from heart to the mind, a path towards spiritual enlightenment by mental purity with the goal to unite the Conscious mind with the soul. Enlightenment is realized when the sense of self identification comes through mind’s waves of perception, and the false self consisting of the ego, the intellect and our complete record of meaning, is dissolved. The ripples of the sea of consciousness, termed vritti, have become motionless and the spirit or aatmaa, the perceiver, knows who he is.

Let’s realize the path to enlightenment within ourselves with mental purity

The desire for a male child at all costs in India has now resulted in an alarming scenario. The child sex ratio for the country stands at 927 in 2001, down from 945 in 1991. The discovery of the ultrasound technique has proved to be the nemesis of the female foetus in India. The medical fraternity was quick to see entrepreneurial opportunities in catering to insatiable demands for a male child.

Modernisation has taken a great toll of many Indian village, people in search of greener pastures have left the pasture land to concrete jungles. The villages which used to be lively once have become lonely with very few elderly people guarding the land and only time it wakes up to life is summer vacation. It reminds me of great poem by Tracey Clark.

a lone village, in an empty land flowers fade, in summer and shade
Lilies die, and Roses bloom changes come, all consume
the world stops, life concerned silence forever, your words unheard
you've slipped, all is gone eyes closed for a second, but the world goes on.

Let us keep the tradition and our villages alive.

I am Chanda Dobriyal a freelance web designer, logo designer and abstract artist housed in Chennai
a beautiful old city historically dated back around 1522 and now a bustling metropolis.

I was blessed on this
earth some 36 years back in Gujarat though the roots hail from the mighty Himalayas in Garhwal hills. I completed my
Bachelors Degree in Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science from M. S. University of Baroda.

My passion of computer led me to take up quite a few courses and later took up academics and taught in school in Baroda
and then in Navi Mumbai.I have travelled to almost every nook and corner of India from west to the beautiful seven sister
states of east, north to the culture rich traditional southern states and have learnt from the nature and environment that you
can relish in incredible INDIA.

I came to Chennai in 2003 and again gave my career a new start by taking a Diploma Course in Web Designing and Print Media from
Arena Multimedia, instead of working under some one I decided to get on to my own so I can be with my childrens when it
really matters. I became a freelance web designer and completed many projects. Art and painting had always facinated me and was
part of my hobby, then one fine day I dreamed of converting it to my career aided with computer designing and printing. So I took
up formal classes on oil painting and shifted my focus to oil paintings.
I decided to take up contemporary abstract art
since I was always attached to nature and surrounding of incredible India. I like exploring the unusual aspects of the human
nature using a surreal twist. Most of my abstract oil paintings on canvas represents a social responsibility and inclination
to environment with a touch of feminism as a part of me.
